NCAA Panel Endorses Proposals Aimed at Improving Basketball's Image
A committee of the National Collegiate Athletic Association recommended last week that the association scale back summer recruiting in Division I men's basketball, limit the number of new scholarships that basketball teams can provide, and let colleges pay for summer school for incoming basketball players.
