NCAA Charges Alabama With Violating Rules on Recruiting

The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa is facing charges that its fans, football coaches, and former players violated a multitude of National Collegiate Athletic Association rules from 1995 to 2000. The most serious allegation is that a booster bribed a Memphis high-school football coach to send a top recruit to play for the Crimson Tide.
