NCAA Bars N.C. Athletes From Receiving Full Benefits of Prestigious Scholarships

A federal judge has told the National Collegiate Athletic Association that it must let even students with poor academic preparation compete as freshmen. Now the association is telling some academically gifted students that they may not compete unless they forgo part of their scholarships.
