NCAA Announces Far-Reaching Plan to Tackle Problems in Youth Basketball
At nearly 500 pages, the NCAA's Division I rule book has an answer for nearly every potential problem in college sports. All but one—youth basketball.
On Monday, in the shadow of the Division I men's basketball championship, its pinnacle event, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced a wide-ranging plan to tackle problems it sees in amateur basketball leagues, a popular training ground for tens of thousands of major-college recruits.
