N.C. State Ordered to Pay $300,000
North Carolina State University must pay $300,000 to two former students who sued the university over their sexual harassment by a professor, a state panel has ruled.
North Carolina State failed to follow its own "zero tolerance" policy on sexual harassment and has a "pattern of ignoring complaints of sexual harassment and threatening behavior," said an order issued by the state Industrial Commission, which handles workers' compensation cases.
