Music Piracy on Commercial Networks
To the Editor:
In "To Catch a Song Thief: Inside the Anti-Pirate Patrol" (The Chronicle, May 23), you quote an anonymous representative of the Recording Industry Association of America as saying, "We're trying to make universities aware that they have an issue with peer-to-peer file sharing on their network, and so we don't send automated notices to commercial ISP's, I think because they are generally aware that there's a problem."
What an astonishing statement! Certainly
