Music Piracy at Carnegie Mellon
To the Editor:
What is extremely disturbing to me about Carnegie Mellon University's actions with regard to the 71 students it accuses of music piracy is that a university has chosen to do police work for the music industry, ... with high costs to the rights of privacy ("How Forcefully Should Universities Enforce Copyright Law on Audio Files?," November 19). University administrators could have taken the position that they don't support violations of privacy.
