Mount Holyoke College Settles Spat With Alumnae Group
Mount Holyoke College has settled a fight -- with its alumnae association.
Both entities had laid claim to legal control of the annual fund, which supplies more than a tenth of the college's annual operating budget (The Chronicle, May 25).
The two sides announced an agreement last month that makes it clear that the college controls all fund-raising activity. In exchange, Mount Holyoke has agreed to finance the alumnae association for at least the next two years.
