More Small Universities Are Getting Rid of Football
Football is a phenomenally expensive sport, no matter what the level of competition. Outfitting anywhere between 60 and 150 players in what amounts to body armor, paying a small phalanx of coaches to point the players in the right direction, and just making space for a squad in a college's locker rooms, weight rooms, and training rooms is a major undertaking.
