The University of Memphis resumed classes today, a day after canceling them in the wake of a fatal shooting on the campus Sunday night. No suspects have been identified or arrested in the attack on Taylor Bradford, a football player, but officials are no longer saying for sure that he was the target of his assailants, according to the Associated Press. Now they are saying that they cannot discern a motive for the assault, which may have been at random. —Andrew Mytelka
