More Lawyers in Japan's Future; U.S. State Department Sets Up Institute on Afghanistan
Seventy-four Japanese universities are hoping to open law schools, according to a survey by the Japanese news agency, Kyodo News.
The schools would be established under legislation encouraging the creation of a new generation of American-style graduate-level law schools.
The Japanese ministry of education began accepting applications for new law schools last week, and the schools are supposed to start operating next April, at the start of the Japanese academic
