More Freshmen Report Having a Disability
The number of freshmen who report they have a disability is growing significantly, according to a study by the American Council on Education.
Nearly one in every 11 freshmen report they have a disability, compared with one in 38 in 1978.
The new figures come from data gathered in the annual survey "The American Freshman," conducted by the council and the Graduate School of Education of the University of California at Los Angeles.
