More College Athletes Test Positive for Nandrolone, a Banned Steroid
An increasing number of college athletes are testing positive for a banned substance that they may not realize they are ingesting.
In 1998-99, 38 athletes showed evidence of the use of a steroid known as nandrolone, according to new data from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. That's more than twice the number of athletes who tested positive for the substance in any of the previous three years.
Those taking the drug -- many are football
