More American Students Than Ever Before Are Going Overseas for Credit

The most recent increase continues a 10-year trend -- but the length of time that they study abroad has grown shorter The number of American students doing academic work abroad was up sharply in 1996-97, when 11.4 per cent more of them studied in another country than had done so the year before.
