Montclair State Restores 2 Sports
Montclair State University has reinstated its wrestling and men's lacrosse teams as varsity sports after downgrading them and three other teams to club status in January to save money, the New Jersey institution announced in April.
The reclassification, which takes effect this fall, follows a $400,000 increase in the athletics budget, said Ann Frechette, a university spokeswoman. The increase draws on money from a fund-raising campaign that the university, its coaches, and private
