Mistake on Medical-School Admissions Exam Unsettles Test Takers

Nearly a third of the students who took the Medical College Admission Test last month were stumped by a bizarre error in the verbal-reasoning section.

The mistake left some test-takers rattled and worried about their scores.

The Association of American Medical Colleges, which oversees the test, was drafting a letter last week to the 787 students affected by the error. About 50,000 students take the test each year.
