Mississippi Alumni Group Was Illegally Dissolved
An alumni association of the Mississippi University for Women, which the university's president had sought to dissolve last spring, will continue to operate, a state judge has ruled.
Judge Dorothy W. Colom of the Lowndes County Chancery Court ruled that the university's president, Claudia A. Limbert, had acted illegally when she severed ties with the Mississippi University for Women Alumnae Association last March and named a 12-member interim board to replace it.
