Minority Women Still Underrepresented in College Sports
Being a woman and not being white mean getting a double shot of discrimination.
Even in college sports, according to a report published last week by the Women's Sports Foundation.
According to the report, which is based on a study of data primarily from the 2000-1 academic year, women of color have benefited tremendously from the expansion of women's college sports over the past three decades. Not only were many more of them participating in sports -- 22,541 in 2000-1,
