Minority Students at U. of Michigan Protest Club's American Indian Artifacts
No peace pipe in sight.
Minority students at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor seized the offices of a student organization this month to protest its use of American Indian artifacts and traditions in its rituals.
The Students of Color Coalition has taken over the offices of Michigamua, a traditionally exclusive group that counts President Gerald Ford among its alumni.
