Minority Medical Students at Florida State

To the Editor:

In "Florida State's New Medical School Battles With Its Accreditor" (May 3), Katherine S. Mangan raises the issue of minority enrollment at the Florida State University College of Medicine.

It is not clear why the reporter pulled this issue into the story on accreditation, since the accreditation site-inspection report had nothing but praise for our minority outreach. While I am always glad to see attention being paid to this important issue, I am deeply
