Minority Enrollment in Florida Remains Unchanged
The proportion of minority students at Florida's 11 public universities has remained largely unchanged as the institutions have coped with Gov. Jeb Bush's 1999 decision to bar the use of affirmative action in admissions, according to figures released this month by the state.
Thirty-six percent of new undergraduates this year at the 11 universities are members of minority groups, compared with 35 percent last year and 37 percent the year before that, the figures show. There are 724 more
