Minority-College Presidents Ask Congress for Technology Aid

Presidents of colleges that mainly serve minority students asked members of Congress for more money to help the institutions expand technology capabilities and distance education, at a hearing in Texas this month.

Another topic of discussion was a new report from the General Accounting Office, the investigative arm of Congress, on distance education at institutions that largely serve minority groups.
