Minnesota Charges 17 Former Basketball Players With Academic Misconduct in Cheating Scandal
The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has charged 17 former basketball players with academic misconduct in connection with a cheating scandal that over the past two years has tarred its reputation and cost four of its top sports officials their jobs. The university also found that an unidentified professor, now retired, had given excessively high grades to athletes.
