Michigan and Sun Microsystems Attack Key Barrier to Linux Use
Sun Microsystems is giving the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor a six-figure research grant to overcome what many computing officials consider a major obstacle to bringing the Linux operating system into universitywide computer networks -- its lack of a secure and robust network file system.
