Michigan 2-Year Colleges Seen as Testbeds for 'Green' Education

Michigan, with its protracted recession and hundreds of thousands of laid-off workers, was the metaphor that kept cropping up in presentations here this week at the annual conference of the National Council for Workforce Education.

“Green Community Colleges: Sustainable Campuses and Programs” was the conference’s theme, and it particularly resonated with educators from Rust Belt states struggling to rescue
