Miami U. of Ohio Weighs Equal Tuition for State Residents and Outsiders Alike
Miami University of Ohio wants to break a longstanding tradition that continues in most states: different tuition rates for residents and out-of-state students.
Later this month, the university's Board of Trustees will consider a plan that would charge Ohio residents the higher tuition that out-of-state students now pay, beginning in the fall of 2004. If the plan is approved, the university would become one of the first public institutions in the country to charge one
