Mexico Unveils Records on 1968 Student Massacre; Fatal Fire in Beijing Shuts Down Internet Cafes
Historians and human-rights activists interested in Mexico's recent past cheered last month when the government made public the classified records of four government agencies.
Of particular interest to many scholars will be documents related to the October 2, 1968, student massacre at Tlatelolco Plaza, in central Mexico City, where witnesses say soldiers gunned down as many as 300 student protesters.
