Mexico Cancels Classes Nationwide Amid Growing Fear of Epidemic

The Mexican Health Secretariat ordered the closure of all schools and colleges nationwide on Monday, amid a widening epidemic of swine flu in the country.
The government agency's measure, in effect until May 6, affects 33 million students, 2.5 million of whom are university students.
The order marks the first time in recent history, if not ever, that Mexico has suspended classes throughout the country. The only time such a measure was previously applied in Mexico
