Mexican Judge Revives 1976 Case
In the latest twist in a long legal battle, a federal appellate judge in Mexico has ruled that a former president, Luis Echeverría, 84, can be tried on charges of genocide related to his role in a deadly crackdown against student protesters 38 years ago in Mexico City.
