Merger of High-Speed Networks Is on Hold as 2 Consortia Break Off Talks
Merger talks between Internet2 and National LambdaRail, two consortia that run high-speed computer networks for scholars, have broken down over unspecified governance issues. The two groups had planned to join their networks to create a single high-speed network for scholarly use.
But the proposal may not yet be dead: One side is trying to lure the other back to the negotiating table.
