Mercer U. Can Keep Police Records Private
The Georgia Supreme Court has declined to review a lower court's ruling that a private university does not have to make its campus-police records available to the public.
The State Supreme Court's action ended a lawsuit filed against Mercer University in 2003 by Amanda A. Farahany, an Atlanta lawyer representing a former Mercer student who said she had been sexually assaulted by a student on the Macon, Ga., campus in 2000.
