Imagine you've contracted a mysterious disease that has even your doctor baffled.
He steps into his office and emerges 60 seconds later, a veritable fountain of information about your condition.
A sudden inspiration? Not quite. He may have just logged on to a new Internet service, UPCMD, that has been created by a consortium of medical-school pathologists.
