Medical-School Group Backs Trials Registry
The Association of American Medical Colleges has added its voice to the chorus of calls for a federally sponsored national registry for all clinical trials.
In June the American Medical Association called for such a registry to ensure that the public gets an accurate accounting of the results of clinical trials, and that companies sponsoring research do not hide unfavorable findings (The Chronicle, June 25).
