Medical Journal Reviews Policy on Authors' Conflicts of Interest
The New England Journal of Medicine has begun a review of its conflict-of-interest procedures following reports that it published an analysis favorable to two popular hair-loss treatments that was written by a professor who had been a paid consultant to the makers of the drugs and who is still receiving research support from the companies.
