Media Conglomerate Buys Second Student Newspaper in Florida
The Gannett Company announced last month that it had bought the student newspaper at the University of Central Florida.
The paper, the Central Florida Future, will continue to be written and edited by students. It has had a series of private owners since ending its affiliation with the university, in 1993. The newspaper had been operated as a private, for-profit company, a model uncommon among student publications.
