Meaningful Questions in Science
To the Editor:
It was delightful to read Paul Davies's "The Universe's Weird Bio-Friendliness" (The Chronicle Review, April 6). His search for an alternative to Platonic notions in physics and cosmology is most intriguing.
As someone who teaches these subjects to the uninitiated, however, I wish he had chosen some of his words more circumspectly. Particularly troubling is: "That [acausality] is just one of the many startling implications of quantum physics that may seem bizarre
