Massachusetts Asks Public Colleges to Require Students to Pass Exit Exams
Public colleges in Massachusetts may soon require students to pass general-education examinations in order to graduate.
Members of the state's Board of Higher Education voted last week to create "entrance and exit exams" to hold colleges accountable for academic standards, following the poor performance of many graduates of Massachusetts teacher-education programs on certification exams
