Mascot's nickname:Buzz
Problem: A minor-league baseball team in Salt Lake City started using the name Buzz.
What's happening: The team has agreed to pay Georgia Tech $600,000 for infringing on the university's trademark, which Georgia Tech has owned since 1988. The team has also changed its name to the Salt Lake Stingers.
New mascot:
Eagle
Critics say: It's too similar to Georgia Southern University's eagle.
