Maryland Universities Can Exceed Advertised Tuitions, State Appeals Court Rules
Maryland's public universities are under no obligation to charge the tuitions that they have advertised, a state appeals court ruled last week.
In a 5-to-2 decision, a panel of judges from the Maryland Court of Appeals ruled that the University System of Maryland did not have a contractual obligation to maintain tuitions at the levels advertised to prospective students.
