Marycrest International U. Will Shut Down at End of Spring Semester
Marycrest International University has announced that it will close its doors at the end of the spring semester. It was the second small, private four-year college to announce its closure in recent weeks, and at least the ninth since 1997.
Marycrest, in Davenport, Iowa, has been struggling to build its enrollment. The number had fallen to as few as 265 full-time students two years ago, although the college now has 350 full-time and more than 300 part-time students.
