Martin Luther King, Jr., to Be Honored at Fresno State
The campus of California State University here planned to unveil a bronze statue of Martin Luther King, Jr., this week, in honor of the slain civil-rights leader's 70th birthday.
The life-size statue was to join those of the Indian spiritual leader Mohandas Gandhi and the workers'-rights champion Cesar Chavez in the university's Peace Garden, which was created in 1990 to honor people who fought for human rights, Fresno officials
