Marker-Tossing Professor to Retire at U. of Central Arkansas

A statistics professor at the University of Central Arkansas will no longer teach and will retire next year after pitching a marker pen at a student who he said was disrupting his class, the Associated Press reported. The professor, William Kordsmeier, has been on administrative leave since the incident, in late January. The student, who was not injured, denied he had interrupted the class. —Andrew Mytelka
