Many Reforms Needed to Help Young Scientists

The issues highlighted in "The Real Science Crisis: Bleak Prospects for Young Researchers" (The Chronicle, September 21) are of critical importance to postdoctoral scholars in the United States. In order to address these issues, the National Postdoctoral Association has been working since its inception to effect structural changes in the training paradigm for Ph.D. graduate students and postdocs.
