Many Colleges Do Not Meet Federal Requirements for Reporting Sexual Assaults, Study Finds
Fewer than 40 percent of colleges are in full compliance with a federal law that requires the reporting of crime statistics on rapes and sexual assaults, according to a nationwide study released in October.
The two-year study -- conducted by the Education Development Center, a nonprofit organization, and the University of Cincinnati -- found that many institutions were not observing the Clery Act, a federal law under which colleges and universities must annually disclose
