Maker of Voting Machines Complains to 5 More Colleges

Diebold Inc., which makes electronic voting machines, has sent letters to at least five more colleges demanding that they take down student-run Web sites that publicize the company's internal memorandums.

The colleges -- Amherst College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Purdue University, the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of Missouri at Rolla -- are following the lead of Swarthmore College, which was the first to shut down the students'
