Major Typo in 'Federal Register' Appears to Change Policy on Foreign-Student Database
It's been that kind of year for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
As if the agency's high-profile missteps before and after September 11 were not enough, the INS added to its list of embarrassments last month by letting a crucial typo slip into a regulation that specifies how a national database for tracking foreign students should be set up.
