Major Changes Needed for 'Real Diversity'

Norma V. Cantu is absolutely correct when she says we should temper the role of the SAT in the college-admissions process because of the test's disparate impact on minorities ("A Lightning Rod on Civil Rights," September 17). But why stop there? Why not eliminate the GRE, the LSAT, bar examinations, and medical-board examinations, all of which have been repeatedly shown to have a disparate impact on minorities?
