Mad About Manga
Japanese students flock to new programs dedicated to comic-book art
Meiko Uchiyama sits quietly at a table, engrossed in a comic book, savoring the exotic fantasy of wizards, sorcerers, and witches. Her friend Kyoko Hamaguchi is busy nearby sketching a girl with shaggy hair, large wide eyes, and a slash of a mouth.
