MIT's Study of Its Own Gender Bias Is Attacked as 'Junk Science'
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology shocked academe and won national recognition when it issued a report last year admitting that it had discriminated against female faculty members. Now, a psychology professor at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks is casting doubt on the M.I.T. report, saying it was based on a scientifically flawed study that does not prove that discrimination existed at M.I.T.
