MIT and an Ally Sue ImClone Systems
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a company that has licensed a drug patent developed at the university are suing ImClone Systems Inc., alleging that the pharmaceutical firm is using the technology on which the patent is based to produce Erbitux, its fast-selling new cancer drug.
MIT and the Repligen Corporation filed a patent-infringement lawsuit earlier this month against ImClone in U.S. District Court in Boston. The lawsuit says that Erbitux is manufactured in a way that
